These sessions are fully guided and thoughtfully paced to keep things relaxed while capturing meaningful connections—between grandparents, parents, kids, and everyone in between.

How much will it cost?

Your custom portraits will be cherished for a lifetime and then become priceless family heirlooms, therefore, they should be an investment. We will partner together to create art pieces that you want to show off to your friends and family and proudly display in your home. Session planning and preparation ensures a stress free situation that will bring a smile to your face every time you view your portraits.

SESSIONS START AT $175

AVERAGE TOTAL INVESTMENT IS NORTH OF $2000

Booking fee of $175 is due at the time of booking to officially reserve the session date.
Remainder of session fee and order retainer of $500 is paid at the styling consultation.
Half of the order balance is due when the order is placed.
Remainder of the balance is due at order pick-up or delivery.

This process keeps payment spread out over the entire portrait experience. Please don’t hesitate to ask about payment plans.

What should we wear?: Before your session you will receive a questionnaire that will ask general styling questions and I will put together some styling ideas and options in a Pinterest board. At the planning and styling consultation a few weeks prior to your session we will solidify outfit styles and items as well as match them to the location or vibe we're trying to achieve. It might sound like a lot of planning but it will ensure the most stress free experience possible.
How far will you travel?: I'll go ANYWHERE! Mileage and travel expenses will apply outside of a 50 mile radius from Iowa City or Wellman. Want to have your family portrait on the beach in Florida? No problem, just get me there and we can make some magic.

What's the process like?: 1. Book your session online and pay the booking fee of $175 to secure your date and time.

2. Watch your email for more info and plan for a consultation a few weeks prior to the session where the session fee balance and order deposit are due.

3. Photoshoot day is as stress free and fun as possible. After your session we will schedule your View and Order appointment to be held at the studio 1-3 weeks after the session. You'll see a slideshow of all the best images from the session and go through a selection process to place your order. Half of the order balance is due at this time.

4. Products are complete and ready for pick up or delivery 2-4 weeks after order is placed. Order balance is due at pick up or delivery.
Can I get digitals?: Of course! I offer a curated selection of prints, wall art and albums as well as ePortraits (digital images). All products are manufactured with care at a professional lab based right here in Iowa. You can choose to purchase individual ePortraits or the full gallery of retouched, high resolution images.
Will there be retouching?: Yes, all the images that you order will be hand retouched by yours truly. My retouching style is natural and flattering. Retouching includes removing stray hairs and blemishes, reducing facial shine and fine lines and lightening of under eye darkness or circles.
Where is the studio located?: The studio is located above Jimmy Johns downtown Iowa City at 132 1/2 E Washington St. The door is under the awning and has a green neon "Arcade" sign above it. Parking downtown can be tricky so make sure to plan a couple extra minutes to find a spot and pay the meter. Please note that the studio is located on the second floor and there is no elevator. I would be happy to meet at a wheel chair accessible location to meet your needs.
