Senior Photography workshop in Mankato, MN
Not only do I get to work with the most amazing teens and create an unforgettable experience for them, I get to teach other photographers how to do the same! I have the best job ever! This past Monday I made the journey northward to Mankato, MN to speak for MNPPA and a wonderful group of women. Being in business for over 10 years means I’ve been around the block more than once. Every year I make changes to my workflow and procedures to better match the lifestyle I want and provide an unbeatable experience for my clients. Over the years have been able to hone in on what works best. Now it’s my turn to share what I’ve learned to pros around the nation, new or seasoned, and make life long connections with photographers who also want to change the lives of their customers.
We started out the day in the class room going over my entire business model and how I do things to educate my clients ensuring that they are 100% prepared the whole way through their senior portrait journey. We also dove deep into the world of Instagram with a little on branding and marketing mixed in. After lunch my amazing model, Sesamae, joined us for some fun shooting in front of the best wall ever. Then we finished up the day with how I put the final touches on all my images before the client sees them.
Sesamae was an awesome model. She put her own outfit together and was ready and will to do anything I asked even if it felt awkward or weird. I got SO MANY great images of her in the short amount of time we spent together. I also learned that she is the founder of She of Strength and works towards empowering women of all ages through her website and public speaking. She will do great things and I can’t wait to see where life takes her.
I can’t wait to teach other photogs around the nation how to create unforgettable portrait experiences for their clients. Come join my pre-convention class at Imaging USA 2020 in Nashville, TN or check out online mentorships, retouching tutorials and brand reviews on the ‘for photogs’ tab. Don’t forget to follow my work on the interwebs and social media platforms.
